The design team at effect put together the idea of a ‘lunch and learn’ style talk, where once a quarter we get together with the wider team and share a creative explainer or industry insight that they might have otherwise missed. I was tasked with coming up with a name, look, & feel for the talks.
The informal relaxed nature of these talks lead to my immediate desire for the brand to be slightly tongue in cheek and not too self serious. The landed upon name was ‘pixel pushers’ Referencing the often tediously referred to design job of pushing pixels around on a screen, this was designed to sound interesting and modern whilst injecting a bit of self-deprecating humour into the talks from the get-go.
